Our past, present and future
Established under the 1964 Industrial Training Act, our first offices were based in Croydon, South London. September 1966 saw us open our Bircham Newton Training Centre at a former RAF site where we went on to offer plant, scaffolding and construction training. Following its success, we went on to open more training centres in Glasgow, Birmingham and London.
As a direct result of feedback from industry, we created our Vision 2020 – an ambitious programme of transformation and reform, modernising our organisation and bringing us closer to our customers to better meet their needs.
Now, we’re excited to move to a new Head Office in Peterborough. Designed to encourage a spirit of collaboration, our new location reflects the best that British construction has to offer and will be the base from which we continue to commission and influence our partners.
